No new animation work this month. "Real life" has been taking a serious toll, and February has been brutal; no free time for anything. March will be better.
The only significant development is that I am starting a project to port the software to 64-bit code. This involves a bunch of complicated and snarly technical obstacles but will, I hope, result in a significant speedup of the core high-precision arithmetic. Next month I will write about how this project goes.
For now, I have just bought Windows 7 and installed it in a new partition on the quad-core fractal rendering system, and it seems to be working well.
